How To Get Customers
When you first start your business the most important thing you need is to move product, and that means you need customers to buy product. When you have customers your product will be sold, and you will then make a commission. This is true for any kind of a business, small or large. So getting Customers is the most important thing to focus on for a successful business.
When you start a home business, you are told to get distributors. Distributors are the sales people. They need to sponsor more distributors and that means to bring more sales people in to the business. And so it goes on and on down the line. But how do you get Distributors? The most common way is to buy leads. There are many different lead companies that sell leads. They do not say how they get those leads. Some companies must be ethical and get them in an honest fashion. However the ones I found did not get them in an ethical manner. So no matter how hard I worked calling leads, I was realizing very little if any success bringing people into my business through the means of leads. Leads are probably the biggest expense a distributor has. So my advice is Don't Buy Leads! Buy Customers!
Why you Don't Buy Leads
Another reason to not buy leads is the attrition rate. The distributors will often not have the success they had counted on so a large percentage of them will quit. Should you find a seasoned distributor to sponsor you would really feel excited about your good luck. However, a seasoned distributor is often one that jumps from one company to another and they will leave your business the first time they hear of a new ground floor opportunity. Normally their Distributor downline will go with them.
Why a Customer Base is so Important
When they have customers instead of distributors, they will not be following that distributor so there will be very little loss to you so it will have hardly any effect on your business. You will inherit their customers. In the old way many of their friends would leave with them and so you would not only lose one distributor but a good many distributors, leaving you with your income going down to practically nothing. You can have a thriving business and think you are set for long term, and then out of no where lose it all in this very way.
When you build your business with customers, you do not have that worry. Buying customers is a better way. That is to buy existing customers. Ones that have already bought and tried your products. Customers that you can have the rights for as long as they live. This is the way to be successful with your business. Then if a distributor quits they take no one with them. The customers stay under the person above, so the distributor leaves alone and it barely has any effect on your income.
